At Studio98 in Napier

This weekend, 24-25-26 September, 14 artists from Napier present their work in 10 different locations. An ideal weekend outing for the art minded people.

Here at Studio98 in Napier Jewellery Designer Yvonne de Wit and Photographer Herman van Bon have revamped their own gallery with many new works. A sneaky preview below.

African Feet

👉”African Feet” was first exhibited at the UNESCO exhibition ‘The Invisible/Visible’ in Oslo, Norway and since then travelling around the globe.


During the exhibition CREATIVE NAPIER 24-26 September it will be on display in Studio98 along the main road (100m past the church towards Bredasdorp).

The exhibition in Oso was in december/January 2017/18 and curated by the previous photography curator of the Prado Museum in Madrid.👈

During this upcoming Heritage weekend Napier will be abuzz with creativity, when the artists of the village will be showing their work at various venues throughout the town. It’s a major art event in the Western Cape.14 Artists will exhibit in 10 different locations.

A variety of work will be on display including painting, sculpture, photography, pop art, ceramics, jewellery and more. Various artist studios will be open and accessible to the public, for a peep into the artist’s creative space.

Cows Talk

“Photographer Herman van Bon is a multi-subject freak. His landscapes, animals, portraits, photo-graphics, etc. are sold around the globe (often as photo file nowadays). Here an example of some of his ‘Cows Talk’ (more subjects to follow). At Studio98 in Napier you will find a selection of his work and that of his wife jewellery designer Yvonne de Wit.”

Lisé-Marè Botha is fascinated by nature. Small flowers and birds, for example have a lot of detail. She tries to catch that in her paintings. Sometimes the subjects are our of proportions with the background. “But that is because I want to emphasise the beauty of my subjects”. Colours can influence emotions. During the CREATIVE NAPIER weekend Lisé-Marè Botha wants to demonstrate her guests ‘healing through art’
